ever get something and not be able to use it?

aahhhhh!  Michigan winters are the best.  I recently acquired a snowmobile (free) and do you think there's any snow-anywhere?  Absolutely not!  There's always next winter, or maybe move to Alaska and become a king crab wrangler - nah, we like it here so I'll have to wait for snow...and wait...and wait...

On the other hand, everything else is going great!  We had an awesome night last Wednesday with Reggie Dabbs as the guest speaker.  The students really liked it and made a good connection with what he had to say.  JV Rev (our youth group) continues to grow and that's exciting, but our main goal is remains still to lead the students in to and through an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ!

Kylah is awesome...18 months old now and cuter than ever.  This stage is great because she's understanding what we tell her.  Example, "Kylah, go take this to the garbage" (while dad sits here on the couch!).  She really is the best daughter ever though.  She loves helping us do whatever it is we're doing at the time, taking off shoes, carying something...

Anyways, have a great day!

So it's been a while - really wanted to write sooner but this is way to busy time of yere (that spelling's for you Grande...) for us.  Having four sets of parents(both Jill's and mine parents are divorced and remarried)  makes for a lot of shopping (and receiving though...) and a lot of going from place to place for parties and stuff.  And now?  It's all over! But keep Jesus in front and have a great New Year!

Kylah totally got into presents this year and had a hoot opening them...her favorite?  Her guitar of course!  She loves playing mine when she's in my office so Jill got her one that she can't break!  She rock's it out...She got a lot of other cool stuff from all the grandparents and friends...thanks!

We're looking forward to the new year, especially with JV Rev cause we get to re-do our hang out room...it's a secret though!  don't tell anyone...We know that God has some awesome plans for our students and leaders...and us...and you! We also have our annual New Years Eve half nighter this Saturday - it's gonna be fun with food, blow up games, dodgeball tourney, air band wars, worship to bring in the new year and maybe more - can't wait!

Well - take care til next time!

Hey all,

so it's almost my birthday!  Which means it's almost December...wow this year has flown by!  And so has the last month since my last (and first) entry here.  Anyways, God's doing some amazing things in JV Rev (our jr. high youth ministry).  It's great to see students lives being changed everyday...this week I always look forward to cuz it's our annual Turkey Bowling event.  But this year, we're doing it Canadian style - 5 pins!  eh!  how exciting is that!

Kylah (my daughter, pic to the left) is doing great...except right now she looks like she got in a fight with the cement ground and the ground won.  She fell yesterday and scratched her face all up and there's a couple bruises.  I just tell people "you should've seen the other kid!"  This will be second thanksgiving and Christmas...it'll be fun watching her tear into presents and stuff.  We got her a musical potty chair - 2 things she loves at 14.5 months old - dancing to music and going potty (always changing those diapers) so she'll love dancing while learning to go potty on a big girls chair!  I'l like to say I'll post pictures but that might be crossing a line....

Anyways, have a great thanksgiving!
